Nassau, Bahamas – Two employees at Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) were recently awarded for their outstanding service to the corporation at a ceremony held in their corporate offices.

The Performance Award was implemented in 2012/ 2013 year to recognize employees of WS&C employees who have made a significant contribution to divisional objectives, through excellent performance, customer service and teamwork.

The first WSC staff member to be recognized was Katherine Deveaux for overall top achievement in the Business Operations Division for 2012 /2013. Additionally, Leanna Evans was awarded for the Business Operations Division for 2012 / 2013. Both winners were surprised and truly grateful to be recognized for their hard work.

 
“For quite some time I had contemplated a reward recognition program that would be well structured, all encompassing, yet simple and fair” noted Sandra Edgecombe, Deputy General Manager/Chief Financial Officer. “When my Division expanded to incorporate even more staff, I realized that staff deserved to be recognized for their hard work and it was then that it became more evident that 2013 was the time to do it.”

After the success of this year’s awards, the decision was made to make this an annual award and to expand it corporation-wide to recognize those who strive to give their best to the company, the staff and most importantly to the clients of Water and Sewerage
