22 March 2019 is the UN’s World Water Day and the theme this year is “leaving no one behind” – ensuring that all peoples have access to safe water.
 
Sustainable Development Goal 6 says it clearly: water for all by 2030. By definition, this means leaving no one behind. But today, billions of people are still living without safe water, in particular marginalised groups – women, children, refugees, indigenous peoples, disabled people and many others. Marginalised groups are often overlooked, and sometimes face discrimination, when they try to access and manage water.
