Nassau, Bahamas – The Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) wishes to advise our valued customers and the general public that further to announcements in Local Newspapers and on Local Radio Stations; the Corporation has planned major system improvement works for Tuesday March 22nd, 2016 on Robertha Avenue (Ridgeland Park West) commencing at 8PM.  These improvement works are the final tie-ins for a new 20-inch transmission main along Robertha Avenue to replace our existing 21-inch transmission main along that street which has experienced several critical failures over the last few years.

These tie-ins will result in reduced system pressure for our customers in parts of Northern, Central and Eastern New Providence from approximately 8PM on Tuesday March 22nd until approximately 2PM on Wednesday March 23rd.  The Corporation will make every effort to limit the duration and severity of these reduced system pressures.

Pedestrians and motorists along Robertha Avenue during the mentioned period are asked to exercise extreme caution in the area of the works.

The Corporation sincerely appreciates and thanks our valued customers, the residents and businesses of Robertha Avenue and the adjoining Robinson Road West area and the general public for your patience and understanding as we execute these works to further improve the reliability of our New Providence Water Supply.
