Nassau, Bahamas – The Water and Sewerage Corporation (WSC) wishes to advise our valued customers and the general public that further to announcements in Local Newspapers and on Local Radio Stations; the Corporation has planned major system improvement works for tonight, Friday February 26th, 2016 near the Independence Drive entry/exit to the Town Center Mall commencing at 10PM.  These improvement works are part of the ongoing project to replace our 21-inch transmission main on Robertha Avenue which has experienced several failures over the last few years.

These improvement works will result in lower than normal pressure for our customers in parts of Northern and Central New Providence and low pressure and/or no water for our customers in Eastern and Southern New Providence.

It is expected that the works will be completed by 2AM and full system restoration is anticipated by 6 AM on Saturday February 26, 2016.

Pedestrians and motorists along Independence Drive this evening are asked to exercise extreme caution in the area of the works.

The Corporation sincerely appreciates and thanks our valued customers and the general public for your patience and understanding as we execute these works to further improve the reliability of our New Providence Water Supply.
