| Acting General Manager
MR. GLEN LAVILLE has been appointed Acting General Manager of the Water and Sewerage Corporation effective July 1, 2010. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the job having been initially hired by the Corporation in 1987 as an Assistant Engineer and serving in various management positions unitl becoming an Executive Manager in 1999.
Mr. Laville has had responsibility for several areas of the Corporation including Engineering & Planning, Project Management, Special Projects, IT, GIS, and New Providence Operations. In March 2009, Mr. Laville was administratively posted to the Ministry of the Environment as Project Manager/Consultant with responsibility for implementing IDB technical assistance grants in both the energy and water sectors.
Mr. Laville graduated from the University of Florida, in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Civil Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist, and a member of serveral professional organizations including the Bahamas Society of Engineers, the Caribbean Water and Wastewater Association, and the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management. Mr. Laville has traveled and trained extensively in the water and wastewater industry both as a participant and a presenter.
